Tomorrow's THE DAY!

To the tune of Annie: Tomorrow, Tomorrow, I Leave for England, Tomorrow !!!
. . . Yes, as a matter of fact, that did just happen.

Anyways, I'm officially all packed and ready to go. All errends have been run, broken bags have been switched out, and boarding passes have been printed out. Crazy, huh? While it's no good that I have a middle seat on the plane, it is in Lucky Row 26, so get excited!! That has to be a good sign, right? I'm holding pretty steady with a pink rolling bag, a big blue rolling bag, a zebra carry-on, and a hot-pink backpack/purse (cause females can pull that off=]). Each one of them is stuffed to the max, complete with three various space-bags. Hopefully England has cute strong boys to carry all this crap around the airports for me ;-] But we will see..

Basically, I think I'm physically ready to go. I do know, that tomorrow is going to be rough. So a message to any of you out there from home that are friends with Mom, please make sure to shoot her a text, or a call, or even stop by for just a hug. Like me, she's really going to need it tomorrow. But I know deep down, she is almost as excited as I am. It's going to be the hardest thing that I've ever done in my whole life, but I know it's going to be worth it. I'm ready to be independent and learn patience and mainly how to deal with things that are completely out of my control.

My flight leaves at 6 pm tomorrow from O'Hare and I'm scheduled to arrive in Manchester at 7:45 am on Wednesday 19 January (this is how I will have to write dates from now on, weird, huh?). So, hopefully there will be no problems and me and all of my luggage will be writing to you and posting pictures from England within a matter of days!

I love you all, and I'll see you soon, so until then ...

  1. Katie....what a BIG girl you are! I'm proud of you for going, and even more proud of your parents for LETTING you go! One of the hardest, and yet most rewarding, things for parents to do is watch our kids spread those wings and fly! I'll give your Mom lots of love while you're away, and am going to even try to steal her away to the South for a week of books, beaches and beverages at some point! Have fun! Can't wait to follow your adventure on this blog!
